Wallpaper is UP!

I can hardly contain my excitement! It'll be a long wait for Thursday to get here to share with you my super awesome new dining room. It is AMAZING how different the room looks. I posted a little sneak peek last night on Instagram, but I thought I'd elaborate a little more. And technically, I'm not finished. I still have lots of decorating left to do and probably a few more things to buy - but I am so so much closer than where I thought I'd be. Let's face it, the thought of wallpapering is daunting. And I thought we'd be putting it up at least until the day before.

The first thing I did was I primed all the walls - that way the paste for the wallpaper would stick. The priming step was pretty easy. Usually primer is really thick and hard to push around, but this one was watery and splashed everywhere.

With each strip of wallpaper, Josh and his Dad really got the swing of things. After about 8 hours of wallpapering - it was complete :) I posted this picture last night of my new view from my living room.

Sure beats this view, eh?

We're slowly but surely de-pinking. 

And where was I during all the wallpapering fun? Celebrating the mommy to be!

This afternoon is all about decorating, shopping, and pulling it all together. Woo hoo!!
